I just realized something: When Qrow, Ozpin, Glynda and Ironwood told Pyrrha about the maidens and all that, and Ironwood brought up the means of capturing aura, Qrow said: "... and cram it into something else..."
Does that mean that Penny´s aura actually came from someone else? Like, maybe they captured a dead person´s aura and just put it into Penny.
What if it was the child of her creator? Like, there was a real Penny before, but she died and her dad coudn´t deal with it, so he captured her aura and built a new body for her, but the new Penny had none of her old memories.
Or maybe she went berserk and her dad was forced to erase her memories.
